One of our users received a mailmessage with an attachment. He forwarded it to someone outside our organisation. The recipient is unable tp open the attachment. Our user (the sender who forwarded the message) is also unable to open the attachment in his send-folder. He gets the message: Note item not found.
We are working on PC's (Win2k and W98se) with Lotus Notes 6.01/CF3. The attachment is created by a Macintosh. When I forward the mail within our organisation (to my own mailfile), I can open ans view the attachment. But when I forward it to someone via the internet (so outside our org.), I get the same error in my send-folder and also this recipient is unable to see the attachment.
The attachment comes in with the extension .JPG. In the unreadable situation, it appears in the message with the extension .JPG.HQX
